  We spent three days with Mauricio Escobar Fernandez in Santiago and surrounding area. We communicated for several months before the trip. We hadn't been in Chile an hour when I fell flat on my face and knees in the parking garage at the airport. (I was so disgusted with myself.) Mauricio was so concerned and helpful. We had planned a tour for that day, but he kindly took us to the hotel to recuperate and checked in later. Luckily, we were still able to enjoy two days with him. He was so thoughtful in adapting his tour to my injury. He speaks both English and Spanish and is very knowledgeable of the the area and its people. He takes you beyond the regular tourist areas to give you a true picture of the culture. We saw Santiago, Valparaiso, Vina del Mar, and enjoyed the Casablanca winery.
